In case you all don't know i despise books
But i really liked this one

Summary (real easy one)
Book takes place in mid 1800s and in Russia. Main character, Rodion, is "desperate" to get money that he decides to kill the pawn lady and all her loot. So the novel follows him mentally breaking down and what not thinking he's greater than everyone. Yada yada yada he goes to jail at the end of the book and finds love with a prostitute.

Gives a good insight on the mind of not just a killer but of people in general. How some believe that they can do anything they want and not get caught but in the end will reveal the truth because guilt will eventually consume them and make them ill.
